"NUN KOMM DER HEIDEN, HEILAND"
Featured Video
This beautiful organ resides in St. Thomas More Catholic church in Manalapan, NJ.
The chorale-tune Nun komm der Heiden, Heiland (published in Erfurt in 1524) is a German adaptation of the Advent hymn Veni Redemptor Gentium by St. Ambrose. This organ improvisation reflects the growing anticipation of Christ's coming: descending upon the clouds in glory and majesty, as well as in the lowliness of the manger hay.
"Redeemer of the Gentiles, come!"
